On Friday we woke up and it was pouring rain. What to do on a rainy summer day? I was excited that I finally had an opportunity to play with the Makeup Geek eyeshadows I had recently gotten. I’ve been so busy with the kids and running around, I haven’t really had a chance to play and have fun with all these beauties.
We couldn’t be inside all day, so we were off to Target. I let the kids each pick out a movie. I was excited to find ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ on blu-ray for only $5. I think my copy is so old it’s full screen.
Our outing would not be complete without stopping at Sephora. I needed to pick up a few essentials and I wanted to check out what’s new. I needed more Fresh Facial Sugar Polish and I was so excited to see it came in this Essentials Trio where you get 2 masks with the sugar polish. I love the black tea mask (I’m almost out) but I’ve never tried the rose mask. I’ll let you know what I think.
The rain stopped for just a minute when we walked out of the mall. Sofia jumped up on this ball and wanted us all to take a picture together.
After dinner we made popcorn and watched a movie. John makes the best popcorn ever! It is my favorite late night snack!!!
Family movie night and snuggling with my kids is one of my favorite things to do. I love us all cuddling under a blanket and eating popcorn. Perfect end to a rainy day!
Last photo is taken with a selfie stick (sorry for the blurry-ness)
My outfit details: Top / Leggings / Rain Boots (so similar) / Handbag / Handbag Pom Pom / Watch / Earrings
Popcorn Recipe:
Put 2 Tbs coconut oil in a non stick pan, we use a stainless Scanpan. Allow the coconut oil to melt and come to a light smoke, add 1/2 Cup popcorn and put on lid. Constantly moving the pan back and forth, so the popcorn does not burn, remove pan from heat when popping begins to slow. Immediately transfer to a popcorn bowl and salt to taste.

your family is gorgeous! looks like a fun day :)
What a nice day with the fam! Looks like Pheobe is trying to handle the selfie stick…she’s soooo cute! One thing I noticed….so random, is that you have great posture!…I know, totally random! But I guess I noticed it because I definitely need to work on that! I love reading your blog Rachel!
Have you tried the Whirly Pop?! I believe we got ours at Bed, Bath & Beyond (but it was a while ago). My hubby makes fresh popcorn, and he uses the Whirly pop. Its SO easy to use and it has a handle that you crank to keep the popcorn moving to pop evenly. I hope I explained that correctly.
Hey Rachel. I’ve been eyeing this cute top and was looking into buying the top you’re wearing here. But it has really bad reviews on UO. How’s your experience been with it?
Gorgeous family btw!
