Dry Shampoo is my best friend! I have dry hair so I like to go 2-3 days in between washing my hair. Because my nightly routine consists of applying many beauty oils, night creams, etc I wake up in the morning with a very oily hair-line. So me and dry shampoo have a regular date every morning!
Here is my oily hair-line in the morning.
Applying dry shampoo is very simple. Hold the can 6-12 inches away from the head and spray a steady stream onto dry hair.
I will lift up the hair and spray some at the roots to add some volume and texture. I think dry shampoo works better than hairspray for adding extra body and volume.
Wait a minute or 2 before working it in. The dry shampoo needs time to “work it’s magic”. Use your hands or a brush to work it through. You can use your hair dryer to restyle any parts that need it. I just work it in/mess it up with my hands.
Botta bing! No more oil and I’m ready to go!
This whole process should take less than 5 minutes. A lot faster than washing and styling!
I have tried so many dry shampoo’s. The one I swear by is Kevin Murphy Fresh Hair. It keeps my hair looking awesome all day. It’s amazing! I use it almost every day and the bottle lasts me months. If you haven’t tried it yet, click HERE to purchase yours!
On a different note- I want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone!!!!! All of your comments, emails, phone calls, text have been so encouraging! The love and support I have felt from you all has been amazing!!!!! You really know how to lift a girl up!
Thank you and I’m sending a giant HUG!!!!!

I enjoy reading your posts so much and I wanted to say that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I may not know you, but prayers don’t get reserved for those we know, so I will be praying for clarity, comfort, and wisdom for both you and your husband, as well as comfort for the rest of your family – your children, parents, etc. Sending virtual hugs your way. :)
Your makeup looks super gorgeous in these photos!! Thanks for another awesome blog post!
Thanks!!
I find that dry shampoos don’t really do it for me. Maybe I am doing it wrong? I always leave it in for a few minutes before working it in. My hair always feels like there is so much product and that it is so greasy after I use it. I am currently using Batiste.
I’ve never tried it. My daughter has though and she likes it. I guess it’s never too late to teach an old(er) dog(Pup) new tricks!
Sometimes when I use a dry shampoo it turns white on my hair, am I doing something wrong?
