I Could Never Be a 1 Mascara Kind-of-Girl

I have always been a natural eyelashes kind of girl.  I love my mascaras!  I think it’s impossible for 1 mascara to do everything I want it to.  I want my eyelashes fuller, longer, thicker – how can that all be in one tube?  The answer, it can’t.  That is why on any given day I’m wearing at least 3 different mascaras.  Here are the ones I am currently loving:

Mascara Collection

Hello baby Smashbox mascara!  That was a sample in a palette I purchased and I love it!!  I need to get the bigger one.  I apply a minimum of 3 different mascaras, 1-3 coats of each mascara I’m putting on.  Making sure to coat the front and back of the eyelashes.  And here is the final result.

Natural Lashes

I have never had any flakes on my face from any of these mascaras.  I love them all!  Here is what they are, listed from left to right.  Click to purchase.
Maybelline Illegal Length, Smashbox Full Exposure, Loreal Voluminous, MAC Haute & Naughty, Loreal Extra Volume #680, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes

Hi….any tips you could give me to help stop what I call the “mascara blink smudge” that occurs a few hours after doing your makeup? I have tried too many mascaras to mention, and I am not a fan of waterproof at all. I always make sure to powder after applying concealer, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

That used to happen to me every day. I always thought it was a concealer issue or my powder. Then I switched up my mascara and botta bing! No more smudgy mascara! Try using a different mascara.

You’ll have to try the L’Oreal Paris Double Ended Beauty Tubes Mascara. It’s mostly red, with one end being white. The white side is the primer, red end is the mascara. I used to be the SAME WAY with all my mascaras, until I found this one.

It’s NOT waterproof, but it is. WHAT?!?! Yes, it’s odd. It doesn’t smudge or flake, but does take a little “am I doing this right?” when putting it on and taking it off at first. Since it TUBES your lashes, it comes off the same way. It kind of freaked me out the first time I took it off. “Are my lashes still there?”

Give it a week before deciding if you actually decide if you like/LOVE it or not.

I love Loreal Volumonous, any of the formulas, but they all smudge under my eye for me! I use them during the work week but would not wear them going out on the weekends or at night. Must just be me.

I have used the Smashbox mascara before but I wasn’t impressed. While it did lengthen, my eyes has a horrible reaction to it and I had remove it. Furthermore it did flake, and sort of melted in my finger tips the one time. Never seen the happen before.

Hi, Sorry if you have covered this before but I’m knew to your blog and with you talking about wearing different kinds of mascara it made me think. Is it ok to constantly be trying new makeups and creams and beauty product, etc? I’ve grown up with my Mum keeping to a very simple routine and she sticks to her favourite products and this has always worked for her. I’ve been wanting to try a new face wash but get scared that my skin won’t like it! What is your opinion on changing it up daily? Thank you so much and I love your blog! :)

Don’t be scared to try new products! I do it all the time. I have my favorites that I tend to always go back to. But I switch it up constantly.

Hi! I was just wondering what you use to remove the mascara. I have trouble with my eyelashes keeping curl so I use waterproof. Right now, I’m using the target “up” brand purple makeup remover and it’s the best one I’ve found. Any other suggestions are appreciated!
